13 Epic Water Parks To Get You Excited For The Summer

What’s more exciting than getting warm in the summer sun? Getting wet at the water parks, that’s what! Here are 13 of the coolest, wettest slides and water parks around the world. Get your passport, swim trunks, and go!

1. The Beach Park in Ceara, Brazil

Aside for the clearly amazing views, this park features a monster of a slide. “The Insano” drops brave swimmers down 14 stories in less than 5 seconds, which seems like just enough time to pee yourself.

2. Atlantis on Paradise Island in the Bahamas

If the incredible dedication to the Mayan theme wasn’t enough, Atlantis’ “Leap of Faith” slide features a 60-foot drop in a clear slide threw a shark tank. At least you get to save on aquarium fees, right?

3. Happy Magic Water Cube Park in Beijing, China

Aside from all of the beautiful decorations that adorn the building, the water park offers 12 different slides and has a giant water-filled cube that drops gallons and gallons of water on those below. It seems like an amazing place, but what’s with the orange vests? It looks like an emergency flight landing demonstration.

4. The Wilderness at the Smokies in Tennessee

One of the best things about this park is that it’s fully indoors, so even winter can’t kill your vibe. Its “Wild Vortex” slide features a 39-foot free fall that begins with a trapdoor. With that in mind, watch your step!

5. Mirabilandia, in Ravenna, Italy

Aside from its available monorail (which appeals to me, the lazy) and its many pools and attractions, this park offers “The Divertical.” If the other slides have scared you, at least you don’t have to go through this one alone — you and nine friends get jammed in a boat and go over 65 mph down a 197-foot slide. Call it team bonding!

6. Blizzard Beach at Walt Disney World Orlando

I guess Florida needed to have snow somewhere. Mount Gushmore’s “Summit Plummet” will have you tobogganing down 120 feet at over 60 mph. At speeds like that, you might as well be on ice.

7. Wild Wadi in Dubai, UAE

This water destination in UAE is truly a sight for dry eyes. It features 8 master blaster coasters and an 108-foot water slide that will send a swimmer hurdling down into a pool at over 50 mph.

8. The Tropical Islands Park in Berlin, Germany

As you can see, something seems a bit off about this picture. Yes, this giant water world is completely artificial. Built inside of an airplane hanger, this is the largest indoor water park in the world. They offer a (fake) rainforest, a (fake) tropical village, and, of course, a (fake) beach. Known as Europe’s biggest tropical world, it really is like paradise in a bubble. Well, paradise in an airplane hanger.

9. Siam Park in the Canary Islands

This insane park is not only currently being attacked by some giant lizard, but also features an insane ride: “The Tower of Power” takes riders through a tour of tanks filled with stingrays and sharks. Don’t worry, you’re nice and safe in, what I hope is an incredibly thick, glass tube.

10. Aquatica in SeaWorld Orlando

Leave it to SeaWorld to give you the best in water slides. Aside from the usual offerings at SeaWorld, there are a multitude of slides, including the one above where you can race all your friends. It even has a slide that takes you through its famed dolphin and whale tanks.

11. Schlitterbahn in New Braunfels, Texas

This crazy water land has been voted the best water park for 10 years in a row. It’s a full 65 acres and features water coasters, wave machines, and natural spring-fed tube slides, oh my!

12. Caribbean Bay at the Everland Resort in South Korea

The Caribbean Bay water park at the Everland Resort has a pretty famous offering: four different whitewater west AquaLoop slides. These slides let singular riders go down a near-vertical drop into a loop at some very serious speeds. That sounds cool and all, but I am pretty down for the incredible views of the skyline.

13. Yas Waterworld in Abu Dhabi

Yas Waterworld has a lot of amazing slides to offer, including the one photographed above. Who doesn’t want to race their friends down slides that resemble snakes freakishly well? The park also has the “Surf’s Up! Bubbles’ Barrel Slide,” which takes the crown as the world’s largest surf-able sheet wave. Yaaaaaaasssss!
