Let’s face it. No one actually wants to wear outfits to the club that are too tight and too brief, which usually ends up in you being too cold. Here are five vamped up looks to take to the club that offer more coverage without losing sex appeal.
Be magnetic in a maxi.
There’s no reason to wear a super-short skirt out when simple accessories make this maxi club-ready. Adding a silver belt and clutch to to this daytime maxi transitions it into the perfect going-out ensemble. This would also be a perfect outfit for a friday night, because if you throw on a blazer, you’re work-ready as well. Add pops of color with these bright blue shoes and a statement necklace, and you’ll stand out in the best of ways. To top off this glam look, go bold with the eyes. Neon eyes can be overwhelming with a skin tight, day-glo dress, but not so with a muted maxi dress.
Look gorgeous in gold.
Who said gold sequins were just for New Years? Personally, shorts are my go-to for going out because you don’t have to worry about being able to sit down without flashing half the club. Wear a basic T with these shorts because they speak for themselves, same rules apply with your bag, carry your essentials in a small, muted clutch. Make your legs look a mile long with these booties. Top off the look with bangles and dangle earrings and a sexy cat-eye and you’re ready to hit the club.
Look bold in black.
Black has always been a club staple. You don’t have to worry about someone spilling a drink and black is always slimming. Go for the rebel look by rocking all black and adding pops of color with your accessories. You can go absolutely crazy with your eye makeup because your outfit is understated. Go for chunky silver jewelry to add a little oomph to your look. I love the studded look (I have like four pairs of black studded shoes) with black jeans. Add another pop of color with bright red earrings and you’re all set to bring your badass to the dance floor.
Romp it up in the club.
There’s an easy way to show off your smokin’ body without feeling super exposed. Rock a romper and you’ll get the mile-long leg look, which keeping the comfort of shorts. I always go for black on nights out, but accessorizing with bold colors and accessories brings the outfit from beach-worthy to club-worthy. The Chanel eyeshadow is super shimmery, but I love this brand in particular because the glitter doesn’t run down your face at all. A bold shoe completes the look, but stick to patent leather — club floors are dirty, and we all know patent is the easiest to clean!
Ignite the dance floor in an illusion dress.
I absolutely love illusion outfits. It’s super sexy, while still offering a little mystery. It’s also classier looking and lets you get away with revealing deep-v necks and cut outs because it offers (albeit minimal) coverage to those areas. In a dress with an illusion top, don’t distract from it by piling on necklaces. Instead, wear bold earrings, rings, and bracelets and consider wearing your hair up so the illusion is front and center. Pair it with a smokey eye and a bold shoe and off to the club you go!
