Name an adjective to describe each woman’s style this episode.
What was your favorite look or piece from this episode?
I loved Lenore’s sexy nightgown and robe by La Perla. The apricot silk charmeuse with black lace were perfect colors for Bernadette Peters. I loved how the silk flowed as she moved – very regal.
Breakdown this look:
Erika Tazel as Barbara is wearing a green, black and white patterned dress with matching jacket by Tory Burch. The black detailing at the shoulder and the black knit collar gave the suit a little extra sartorial kick – classic with a punch. I feel like the character Barbara likes to play with her clothes and she enjoys experimenting with textures and colors.
Are there any fashion easter eggs in this episode?
Diane is the one in possession of the fashion Easter eggs in this one. She wears a wonderful hammered burnished gold ring by Kenneth Jay Lane and a great pair of gray and gold with pearl earrings also by Kenneth Jay Lane. These are pieces that I have had in Diane’s closet for years. They were actually part of my jewelry kit that I take from show to show and they became part of Diane’s closet when I designed The Good Wife. Elegant and chic. They look like old estate jewelry pieces which is a great character choice for Diane.
Is there a reason why Marissa and Diane are wearing similar colors but vastly different styles?
They are a team. Marissa is solid in her role as Diane’s assistant. Marissa is also getting a little more sophisticated in her approach to office wear. The colors are similar, maybe more in the fact that they are both wearing warm tones.
Is there a purposeful contrast to Colin and Lucca’s ensembles in the bar scene?
They are both straight from work, but Cush (who plays Lucca) and I liked the idea that maybe Lucca would show a little more skin by removing her jacket. Still proper, but Colin gets to see her beautiful arms.
